Announcement from Superintendent

J

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT GARNTO:

After much internal debate and prayer, I recommended to the Board of Education that Laurens County Schools require masks/face coverings in our facilities. "Until further notice, anyone who enters a Laurens County Schools facility will be required to wear a mask/face covering. Masks/face coverings may be removed while eating/drinking/exercising and when social distancing can be practiced. Medical exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis." This update to our Safe Return to School Plan was unanimously approved by our board. I commend them for their support in this endeavor. I understand this will be a challenge for many of you dealing with younger students. I'm sure we all will have opportunities to teach and redirect during these trying times. Continue to stay safe and practice the 3 W's (Wash, Watch, and Wear). If we expect to start and stay in school, these practices are extremely necessary. Thank you for all you do for our students.
