Georgia Crisis and Access Line - Phone:  1-800-715-4225
In 2006, BHL began a unique collaboration with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities. For the first time individuals from anywhere in Georgia could call one toll-free number for access to care in a crisis. The Georgia Crisis & Access Line (GCAL) links callers with trained professionals who provide the most appropriate linkage to care for mental health crises, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse crises.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation.
