Dear Parents and Students,

Hello Raider Families! We here at NWLE understand that these are unprecedented times.  The whole world is gripped by the current pandemic and having to find paths and solutions to navigate through these uncharted waters.  After much thought and consideration for our students and their needs, we have determined a plan for assignments and grading going forward that will help to make all students successful.

It is our goal that all students continue to learn and grow no matter what obstacles they may face.  All students are encouraged to keep reading, learning, working on math facts, and exploring new things with their families.  Students will earn a fourth nine weeks grade based on an average of their first, second and third nine weeks averages.  Any work completed and submitted since the building shutdown is a help to maintaining skills and knowledge.  If a student was failing at the third nine weeks, teachers and administration will be working with parents and students to make decisions on promotion or retention.

We hope you are all well and staying safe.  Please do what you can to stay in touch with your teachers.  Remember that any teacher can be reached by emailing them.  The email for teachers is their first name and last name with @lcboe.net. Many are using Google Classroom, Remind and other media as well.  Please do your part in staying in contact. We miss you and look forward to next school year!

Sincerely,

JT Dean
