Greetings everyone! I am a alumni of West Laurens High School Class of 2002. After graduating from West Laurens, I attended Georgia Southern University and obtained a Bachelors degree in Education with an emphasis in History and a minor in coaching. In 2016, I obtained a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction/Accomplished Teaching from Georgia Southern University. In 2018, I completed my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.
This is my second year at West Laurens Middle School. I will be the co-teacher in the 8th grade Georgia History at WLMS. I am also a coach for the football and baseball teams at WLMS. I previously taught one year at East Laurens High School. Before coming home to Laurens County, I spent 8 years teaching and coaching at Glennville Middle School in Tattnall County. At GMS, I was a co-teacher in ELA and Math classes. I was also an assistant football and baseball coach as well as the Head Boys' basketball coach. My wife, Mary Wood, is a 7th grade math teacher at West Laurens Middle School. We have been married for 10 years. We have one son, Hunter, who was born in February 2018.
