Samford University Bulldog Pharmacy Camp

Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy Samford University is offering a one week Pharmacy Camp this summer for high school students that are interested in investigating a career as a Pharmacist.  We would like to invite your students to participate in this McWhorter School of Pharmacy Camp.  During the week of pharmacy camp they will experience hands-on learning about health careers in pharmacy, participate in tours of local health care facilities and local pharmacies, participate in compounding activities and hands on demonstrations in the McWhorter School of Pharmacy science laboratory.   Students who attend the camp will have the unique opportunity to spend time on the Samford campus and experience campus life with us, spend time with pharmacy professors, and have a lot of time to interact with other students also interested in careers in pharmacy.

Does your student/child need a Summer Job????

The Heart of Georgia College and Career Academy is exited to provide a “Summer Youth Works” Program. This program is a collaboration between the City of Dublin, Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, & the Heart of Georgia College & Career Academy that will provide gainful employment opportunities for youth ages 16 to 18.  Summer Youth Works will be a PAID, 8 week work program providing soft skills training, financial management and on-the job-skill training. Program dates are June 3rd-July 26, 2019. Interested youth, currently enrolled and in good standing with their school may register online at cityofdublin.org under the “Summer Youth Works” page.  Deadline for registration is March 28th.For more information, students may visit the City of Dublin webpage, call 478-277-5059, or call Tim Passmore at 478-697-0667.

         Information for Duke Summer Session for High School Students' 2019 programs is now available! Choose from three transformative programs next summer:

Summer College - A four-week, credit-bearing program for students currently in 10th - 12th grade in which they take undergraduate-level courses.

Summer Academy - A three-week program for students currently in 9th - 12th grade in which they take a certificate course.

Accelerated STEM Academy - A one-week, STEM-based program for students currently in 9th - 12th grade that consists of a variety of hands-on labs, tours of Duke's research facilities, faculty lectures, and workshops.
