I am an alumni of East Laurens High School Class of '99. I continued my education at Middle Georgia College, receiving an Associates of Arts degree in Education. I earned my bachelors degree from Valdosta State University in 2004, majoring in Early Childhood and Reading Education. In 2011, I graduated from Walden University with a masters degree in K-5 Mathematics. I am, also, a certified special education teacher.

I have been teaching for 15 years. I have taught kindergarten at Smiley Elementary (Ludowici, Ga.) and at Montgomery County Elementary School (Mount Vernon, Ga.). I taught 3rd grade at East Laurens Elementary and at Chattahoochee County Education Center (Cusseta, Ga.). I returned home in 2011 and came to work at East Laurens High School as a special education/ collaborative math teacher. This year, I am working with 9th through 12th graders. I will be teaching resource Foundations of Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Mathematics of Finance.

I have two children, Lync (15) and Lakeli (12). We, also, have a dog named Tyson. He is a German Shepherd that we adopted from a rescue shelter and is spoiled rotten. When my children allow me to have spare time, I enjoy crafting. I enjoy sewing, painting, constructing, and other projects; however, most of the time you will find us at the ball field.

I am looking forward to a new year and working with great students and teachers!
