Laurens County Schools in Dublin, Ga, will resume normal operations on Friday, Sept 15, 2017. All students and staff should report to school and work per their usual times.

We thank you for your patience, help, and understanding as we have endured the weather events of the past week.

School Closings (9/14/17) - Hurricane Irma

Laurens County Schools in Dublin, GA, will be closed for students and staff on Thursday, September 14, 2017.  As of noon today, many of our faculty, staff, and students' families remain without power to their homes; additionally, two of our schools remain open as Red Cross Evacuation Shelters.

We expect that as Hurricane Irma evacuees are relocated from our schools later today, we will begin the dismantling and cleaning of our facilities so that we can resume normal operations as soon as possible. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

School Closings (9/13/17) - Hurricane Irma

Due to widespread power outages and damage from Hurricane Irma, as well as delays in the evacuation of our emergency shelters, Laurens County Schools in Dublin, GA will be closed on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. No students or staff should report to school or work.

School Closings - Hurricane Irma

Laurens County Schools in Dublin, Georgia, will be closed on Monday, September 11, 2017, and Tuesday, September 12, 2017, due to the approach of Hurricane Irma. Our four schools that serve as American Red Cross EVACUATION Centers are scheduled to be opened as evacuation shelters under the direction of the Red Cross and other state officials.

No students or staff should report to school or work; anyone who wishes to volunteer at a shelter should report to the Red Cross personnel at that facility.

Please watch our website, Facebook pages, and usual media outlets for updates.
